Bernalillo – Alameda – Albuquerque
In Bernalillo, have a look at the station, there is sometimes a Roadrunner train. Follow further Hwy 313 to Alameda. The Hwy 313 ends, then follow the Rout-66-signs through Albuquerque. In Albuquerque, have a look at the attractions in the “Old Town” and the “San Felipe de Neri Church”. Follow in Albuquerque Central Ave, this is also the Route 66
Los Pallidas – Isleta – Bosque Farms – Valencia – Los Lunas
Behind Albuquerque go onto SR-314 South to Isleta, there turn right onto SR-147th Behind the village go to the SR-47 S to the right. You reach Basque Farms. Follow behind the Pueblo SR-47. Behind Valencia follow the SR-6, SR-47 goes at this point to the left. You reach Los Lunas. You can leave this part out and follow instead of Highway 6, Interstate 40 from Albuquerque to Laguna.
Correo – Mesita – Laguna – Casa Blanca – Budville
Follo the SR-6 until it meets again on I-25. Follow then some Dirtroads (Highland Meadows) by Mesita, you can drive but also on the I-25. In Mesita follow the Laguna Tribal Road this is also called Old Route 66, behind the villige follow t SR-122, almost parallel to I-25. Drive trough Casa Blanca, Budville, Cubero and San Fidel. The SR-122 leads to Grants, NM.
Grants – Milan Prewitt – Thoreau
If you want to see an old “Whiting Brothers gas station” drive to McCarty. Behind that you reach Grant, a slightly larger town along Route 66 in the village there are a few old motels. Follow behind Grants SR-122 and drive through Milan and Perwitt. The next town is Thoreau.
Continetal Divide – Iyanbito – Churchrock – Rehoboth
Always follow SR-122 between the railway line and the I-40. You cross the Continental Divide at this point, a virtual line connecting the United States crossed from north to south. Stay on SR-122 to I-40 (ramp 47), there driving on I-40 to Exit 36. At Iyanbito leave the Interstate and follow the North Frontage Road. The following are the places Church Rock and the city Rehoboth, and finally you reach Gallup, NM.
Gallup – Defiance – Manuelito
In Gallup you may have a look at the historic “El Rancho Hotel” to. Follow the SR-118 through town. Stay behind Gallup on SR-118 West. Follow the road in a left curve, then after passing under I-40 follow the road to the right. Until Manuelito you drive parallel to Interstate 40. You reach the border to Arizona.
Albuquerque, NM – Grants, NM – Gallup, NM
