Route 66 - Gallery - Illinois - Video

On the last trip in October 2013 we started in Joliet, IL and headed from there to Sherman, IL. Passing “Rich & Creamy’s” and “Dick’s on Route 66” in Joliet. Through the City of Wilmington, where the Gemini Giant stands. Finally, through the towns of Braidwood past the “Polk-a-dot Drive-In” in Gardner, Dwight, Odell, Pontiac and Atlanta.

The next leg took us from Sherman, IL to Springfield to see the State Capitol of Illinois. Skip to “Muffler Man” in front of Lauterbach’s Tire Shop. Through small places like Farmersville and Staunton. In Staunton, we visited Rich Henry on his Rabbit Farm and did a longer stop at Country Classic Cars on Route 66.

Rich and his wife are the owners of Henry’s Rabbit Ranch in Staunton, IL. In addition to a collection of VW Golf (Rabbit WV) live on the ranch. The two always look forward to Route 66 Visitors in the small shop.
